Mt. Camisong Forest Park and Geo Reserve in Itogon, Benguet opened in early 2025, emerging as a thoughtfully curated ecotourism sanctuary that harmonizes modern design with forest ecology. The park’s signature feature, the Alapaap Glass Walkway, extends nearly 20 meters above the forest floor to deliver a surreal sensation of walking amid the clouds, especially in fog-laced mornings. Elevated pathways and trails—such as the Alpas mountain-biking route and the Kahilom footpath—offer immersive forest access, supporting quiet exploration and “forest bathing” among pine canopies. Cultural resonance and connectivity are woven into the park’s narrative through the Dagitab Amphitheater—an open-air venue for traditional performances—and the Marahuyo Café, where regional flavors unfold against a backdrop of mountain vistas. A sustainability ethos underpins the site’s design: it retains approximately 90% of its forested terrain and incorporates renewable infrastructure, including a solar photovoltaic system, an EV charging station, and rainwater catchment systems.
