This POP-UP invited guests to look closer at something often overlooked: signage. With the expertise of Sign Depot, the talk unpacked the artistry and technical craft that goes into creating signs—where typography, materials, and design choices come together to guide, inform, and inspire. A live demo gave attendees the chance to see how these everyday markers are made with precision and creativity.
Supported by Karatula and Modernbrands, the event showed that signage is more than just functional—it’s a form of visual storytelling that shapes how we experience our spaces. Is This a Sign? was a reminder that good design is everywhere, even in the details we pass by every day.

This POP-UP brought together architects and designers outside their studios for Archathlon, a day where competition and camaraderie met on the playing field. Teams from Headroom CDV, Leandro V. Locsin Partners, Casas Architects, W.V. Coscolluela & Associates, and Alero Design Studio joined in the fun, showing that collaboration and teamwork thrive just as much in sports as they do in design.
With support from a number of our generous sponsors, the event highlighted the importance of community within the architectural profession. More than a tournament, Archathlon was a reminder that creativity isn’t confined to the desk—it also lives in shared energy, teamwork, and play.
